Lake Pueblo State Park in Pueblo, CO

We finally made it to Colorado. Jim has been here before but this is my first time here and something that I've wanted to do for a very long time. We had and interesting site. It was listed as a pull through but when we got there someone was already parked in the site. It turned out that it was a shared site and we ended up having to back in. The weather was very disappointing after having so many warm sunny days but we found out that this is typical spring weather in CO.

Our camp site and view of the lake.

On Sunday we went to Rocky Mountain Calvary church and worshiped with other believers in person for the first time since we began our trip. Our dear friend Rich Baley is the pastor there so we also got a chance to catch up over a Mexican lunch.

After lunch with Rich we visited some other good friends we haven't seen in a long time; Jenn and Phil Dodd and their children. We spend a lovely afternoon with them.

Their five year old daughter drew this picture for me.

The next day we took a trip up to Pike's Peak. Because of a big snow storm the night before we were only allowed to go up to mile marker 13. We would not have been able to go all the way to the top because the new visitor's center is still under construction.

First stop was visiting Santa at the North Pole

And so the trip up the moutain begins.

Thirteen Mile Marker with Steve, Donn, and Parker

Snow storm just beyond the 13 mile marker. Well, not really but it did start to snow while we were up there.

Just a few more pictures from the trip.

Since we got done earlier than expected we decided to visit the Garden of the gods.

A few picture from the Nature Center

Got back to the campground and decided to take some pictures of the lake before another thunder storm rolled in.

And now we are all caught up and I was able to do this because of the thunderstorms and the rain that is continuing to come down. If the weather man is correct we will be closing the camper down in the rain. Until the next stop.
