Carlsbad, NM

Our next stop was in Carlsbad, NM where we stayed at our first KOA camp site. Never realized how nice they are. We had full hook-up and a nice site. But, before we could get there we had to travel through miles and miles of nothingness. 

We arrived at our campsite and had a very nice welcome. 

We had a large, level, pull-through spot, but not much shade. But after all, we were in the desert. 

One of the reasons for stopping in Carlsbad was to go visit the Caverns and it was a wonderful walk 750 feet underground.  God's artistry is amazing!

While we were at the campsite we realized that there was another National Park for our Passport book not too far from Carlsbad so we made a stop there as well.
